Readers of the Bible sometimes feel there is a wide gap, in both time and culture, between them and the world of the Bible. The aim of this series of books is to bridge that gap by explaining the Bible in straightforward everyday language for the ordinary reader of today.
The Bible has its own way of making its message relevant to the reader, but it can only do so if the reader understands it. And understanding the Bible is what these books are all about.
